Paella is the most famous dish outside Spain. For Spaniards, especially along the Mediterranean coast, paella is our SUNDAY DISH. Not surprisingly, it’s a very vesatile recipe that admits many variations (sorry for paella purists), cooked in a single pan and perfect for everyone to sit at the table at the same time, including the cook.

Whether your place is your home, a private holiday villa or a special venue, if you don’t master (yet) the art of cooking paella and want to enjoy a home-made, real one, I carry with me my portable burner, paella pan and the best quality ingredients so you and your guests just have to share and enjoy the paella experience, from the first garlic clove sizzling in the pan to the last grain of rice entering your mouth.

  • Seafood, meat/chicken and vegetarian paella options are available
  • I cook paella at your place for 6 to 12 people
  • Salad/simple starters can be included

We were given this experience as a gift – and what gift it was! It was a perfect evening of delicious food, idyllic surroundings and wonderful company. We fell in love with the location as we walked the incredible grounds of this traditional home in the Andalusian hills picking fresh fruit from the trees. Then the cooking began… Mayte’s warm relaxed and friendly style made the cooking so much fun – we have already cooked her recipes at home and both felt very inspired by the love she puts into her food. Couldn’t recommend highly enough – a really special treat for all ages and abilities x

I spent a most enjoyable day in Mayte’s beautiful old farmhouse – full of character in beautiful surroundings. Enjoyed the whole day, preparing the food under Mayte’s instructions and most if all eating the freshly prepared Spanish dishes and sampling thyye Spanish wines. The walk in the garden picking fruit and herbs was an added bonus. I was made very
welcome and enjoyed meeting Mayte’s parents and Coco.
A trip to Malaga area would not be complete without a visit to Mayte’s kitchen.
Highly recommended.

Like others before me, spending time with Mayte in her farm house learning about Spanish cuisine, was indeed the highlight of my weeks holiday in Málaga. Quality of food and mind is refreshing in an over commercialised world. If you wish to experience something genuine, then I cannot recommend Mayte´s Cooking Day enough. The ambience is so much appreciated. Enjoyed the lunch, cooking Salmorejo, Soupy Rice with Fish. If I close my eyes, I can still taste the local red wine, delicious. Meeting family members and Coco. Thank you so much Mayte.

We were a party of 6 Swedish people who spent a cooking day with Mayte. We had a very pleasant day together with her and her friend, learning about Andalusian cooking and culture at her lovely house. For us who don`t speak Spanish it was very good that Mayte`s English is excellent. We can definitly recommend a visit and will certainly be back to her with other guests.

We spent the morning and afternoon with Mayte in her amazing farm home. We loved all the dishes that we prepared including the wine and the appetizers she served us before starting. I have taken several cooking lessons throughout the world with different cuisines and I have to say her cooking day is definitely in my top three all time favorites! Highly recommend her cooking for a day class!!

We were with Mayte for a Sunday lunch. We were well welcomed and got a little history about the house and location, we got to meet the family that was very nice. Mayte made us feel welcome and at home. She served delicious food along with excellent wines. The atmosphere was relaxed and informal. This we can recommend most warmly.
